Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German actress on television and film most well-known for her roles in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra Maria Lara the only son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. At the age of 16 she portrayed the lead character in various TV dramas. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge in the commercially and critically profitable Oscar nominated historical war film Downfall. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the actress. In the past, Alexandra has been involved in a variety of important international and national productions. Some of these include the British biographical documentary Control, the Greek film The Dust of Time, and French historical miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she was a member of the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
